Buying Property in Italy

Can anyone explain to us how the deposit on buying a property works. Is it held with a notario? Or is it paid straight to the vendor?

Many thanks

Hello,

Usually the deposit goes to the vendor, it is needed to guarantee the buyer that the vendor will take away the property from the market and the vendor that the buyer within a givin time will buy the property. The amount of the deposit must be agreed between both parties. Of course it will be deducted from final price.

I am a real estate agent, please feel free to contact me at gphlix@umbrialiving.eu or 0039.0744.30.54.48.

Kind regards
